My Brindabella

My vision of Tuggeranong is a positive and renewed community that keeps being chosen by families who want to enjoy every chance in a wonderful place – just like ours did!

Over three elections and now as your local representative, I’ve doorknocked up and down nearly every street in every suburb in Tuggeranong. It is an extraordinary feeling to have its support, trust and confidence. I understand how privileged I am to be chosen by my neighbours to make a positive difference for Brindabella.

Every house in Tuggeranong has the best views in Canberra, we’ve a lake of our own, 20 suburban hills and to climb, a spectacular, snow-capped mountain range out the window, one of the great accessible nature reserves, two historical farmsteads, three adventure playgrounds, beaches and peace on the Murrumbidgee river, expanding cultural and social opportunities, key Australian Public Service infrastructure, confident and engaged community clubs, and supportive, safe and vibrant neighbourhoods filled with wonderful people.

The Brindabella electorate is the largest geographical electorate in the ACT and takes in all of the Tuggeranong district as well as the rural areas and national parks beyond Canberra's edge in the southern ACT.

The name Brindabella is derived from an Aboriginal word meaning 'two kangaroo rats'. For generations of Canberrans, Brindabella is the name of the mountain range which dominates the southern horizon of Canberra.
