ACT Labor's Plan for Tuggeranong
Travel around Brindabella and it becomes clear that our electorate does not want for infrastructure. It’s just that a fair bit of it is my age. After 44 years of hard and enthusiastic use, like my knees, Tuggeranong’s infrastructure needs renewal and TLC.
I was elected in 2024 to deliver Labor’s Plan for Tuggeranong - a comprehensive list of election commitments to level-up Tuggeranong by renewing our infrastructure and improving our service delivery.
My job is to ensure the plan’s commitments are delivered. Because when the people of Tuggeranong trust that ACT Labor is running our community well, they will keep being giving us the responsibility to go after the big things and reach for incredible opportunities.
As the only member of the Legislative Assembly who coaches and supports their children playing for Tuggeranong clubs, as the only member who plays sport for Tuggeranong clubs, I will never give up or give in on annoying the ACT Labor Government to keep improving the standard of Tuggeranong’s local sporting facilities until they equal or surpass their equivalents in other ACT electorates.

Athllon Drive duplication - IN PROGRESS. $82m funded in the 2025-26 Budget. Main construction works due to start early 2027.
Athllon Drive footpath and cycling path upgrade - DELIVERED! Completed as part of the enabling works for the Athllon Drive duplication project.
Kambah playground replacement - IN PROGRESS. Funded in the 2025-26 Budget, design works underway.
Work with private owners to support Kambah Village upgrade - OUTSTANDING. Discussions are ongoing with the developers.

Erindale Shops public spaces upgrade - IN PROGRESS. $2.6m funded in the 2025-26 Budget, design works underway.
Wanniassa Playground replacement - IN PROGRESS. Funded in the 2025-26 Budget, design works underway. A new local neighbourhood playground will be built on Sternberg Crescent West (next to the oval).
Wanniassa Playing Fields changerooms upgrade: female friendly - DELIVERED at Wanniassa No. 2! In addition, Wanniassa No. 1 will receive a modular changeroom facility in 2027.
Wanniassa Playing Fields carpark expansion feasibility - IN PROGRESS. Funded in the 2025-26 Budget, feasibility study underway.
Fadden Primary School upgrade - DELIVERED! Works included HVAC upgrade, preschool and staff toilet renewal, new covered learning area and accessibility improvements.
Monash Primary School upgrade - DELIVERED! Upgrades included outdoor area improvements to playgrounds, garden, retaining walls and garden beds along with accessibility improvements such as bathrooms, ramps and a new automatic door.
Gowrie Cricket Nets upgrade - DELIVERED! Set to open soon.
Zebra Crossings at St Mary MacKillop College Isabella Plains. DELIVERED in October 2025!
Trinity Christian School pedestrian upgrades - IN PROGRESS. Working with the school to identify areas of need.
Monaro Highway flyover at Lanyon Drive - IN PROGRESS. Expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

GREENWAY
Work with private company to construct the new Tuggeranong Ice sports facility - OUTSTANDING. On 7 September 2026, the ACT Government decided not to proceed with further consideration of the updated detailed proposal submitted by the private sector proponents for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a new ice sports facility in
Tuggeranong. The Government will now commit an equivalent amount of $16.265 million toward delivering and upgrading other sporting infrastructure projects in Tuggeranong.
Tuggeranong Walk-in Centre services expansion - OUTSTANDING.
Tuggeranong Skatepark upgrade - IN PROGRESS. Minor upgrades, feasibility study and concept design for the full upgrade were funded in the 2026-27 Budget.
Tuggeranong Library seat/desk increase - DELIVERED in late 2025!
Lake Tuggeranong College Photolab installation - DELIVERED in June 2025!
Tuggeranong Arts Centre upgrade - DELIVERED in September 2025! $2m upgrades included new seating, carpet, stage drapes, acoustic treatment, upgraded audio-visual systems, accessible dressing rooms, hearing loops, wheelchair spaces, improved parking, and a refreshed foyer.
Better footpaths, lighting and new seating at Lake Tuggeranong Foreshore - DELIVERED in 2025!
Southside Hydrotherapy Pool installation - DELIVERED in August 2025!
Lakeside Leisure Centre upgrade - DELIVERED in mid-2025! Works included a multi-purpose creche room, and refreshed changerooms and gym equipment.
Work to improve Lake Tuggeranong's water quality - DELIVERED! 10-year plan to improve the water quality in Lake Tuggeranong released. $2.1m funded in the 2026-27 Budget to implement Stage 1 of the plan.
Work with South.Point Tuggeranong to integrate the shops with public transport - OUTSTANDING. Requires a private partnership.

Calwell Playing Fields changerooms upgrade: female friendly - IN PROGRESS. Funded in the 2025-26 Budget. Upgrades will be delivered in the first half of 2027.
Chisholm Shops upgrade - IN PROGRESS. $2.5m funded in the 2026-27 Budget. Design work is underway.
Chisholm Oval changerooms upgrade: female friendly - DELIVERED in June 2026!
Support the Chisholm Pines Tennis Club expansion - IN PROGRESS. The Government provided funding to help with concept design for their expansion. A Request for Tender to purchase the land is underway.
Gilmore playground replacement - IN PROGRESS. Funded in the 2025-26 Budget, design works underway. A new local neighbourhood playground will be built on Henry Melville Crescent.
Isabella Plains playground replacement - IN PROGRESS. Funded in the 2025-26 Budget, design works underway. The local neighbourhood playground on Yabtree Place will be upgraded.
Bonython playground replacement - IN PROGRESS. Funded in the 2025-26 Budget, design works underway. Three local neighbourhood playgrounds on Morice Place, Hussy Cove and Marquet Retreat will be renewed with new equipment.
Caroline Chisholm High School cricket nets upgrade - OUTSTANDING.
Calwell Primary School upgrade - DELIVERED! Upgrades included LED signage, playground surface upgrades and accessibility improvements, including installation of ramp and handrails, installation of automatic door and sliding door, lighting modifications to classroom, upgrades to the sick bay and administration area.
Theodore Primary School upgrade - DELIVERED! Works included LED signage, small group classroom and preschool bathroom works, accessibility improvements and playground upgrades.
Isabella Plains Early Childhood School upgrade - DELIVERED! Upgrades included security fencing and staff toilet upgrades.
